Já se conhecem os pré-seleccionados de 9 categorias para os Óscares 2020

A Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas norte-americana divulgou as shortlists de nove categorias, ou seja, os filmes finalistas da 92.ª edição dos Óscares na categoria de Melhor Documentário, Melhor Curta Documental, Melhor Filme Internacional, Melhor Maquilhagem e Penteado, Melhor Banda Sonora Original, Melhor Canção Original, Melhor Curta-Metragem de Animação, Melhor Curta-Metragem de Imagem Real e Melhores Efeitos Visuais.

Na categoria de Filme Internacional foram 91 países que submeteram candidatura, tendo chegado a finalista: “The Painted Bird” (República Checa), “Truth and Justice” (Estónia), “Les Misérables” (França), “Those Who Remained” (Hungria), “Honeyland” (Macedónia do Norte), “Corpus Christi” (Polónia), “Beanpole” (Rússia), “Atlantics” (Senegal), “Parasitas” (Coreia do Sul) e “Dor e Glória” (Espanha).

Portugal, que tinha submetido “A Herdade”, de Tiago Guedes, continua a não conseguir a nomeação para o Óscar. No entanto, o cinema português pode fazer história com a curta-metragem “Tio Tomás, A Contabilidade dos Dias”, da realizadora portuguesa Regina Pessoa, que está entre as dez finalistas que concorrem à nomeação para o Óscar de Melhor Curta-Metragem de Animação. Segundo a Academia foram elegíveis 92 filmes na categoria de Melhor Curta-Metragem de Animação, dos quais dez são finalistas e apenas cinco serão nomeados.

A votação para as nomeações finais começa no dia 2 de janeiro de 2020 e decorre até dia 7 do mesmo mês. Os nomeados serão anunciados a 13 de janeiro e a cerimónia da 92.ª edição dos Óscares será a 9 de fevereiro de 2020, no Dolby Theatre.
